Just for Kicks!

Sydney has been working on her soccer skills. While you would think great skill and prowess with the soccer ball would be a natural ability given her dad's proven talents, you would be right. Sydney is already able to dribble with the ball, and able to stike it with her foot at ease. She does fancy step-over moves, and can bend it like it's nobody's business...move down the bench Beckam, you've got nothing on her!

This week, Sydney also continued to work on her spelling. Even though she commonly says, "come on dad, that's what spellcheck is for!"...her Dad wants her to know the importance of correct grammar and good spelling. Even though we live in a digital age, and Microsoft Windows and other applications can perfom this task at ease, their is still merit in learning the correct way to spell and write, and hopefully that will be instilled in her. When she realized that Dad was correct, she very sincerely spelled out some words. I just happened to have the camera and thought I'd capture her brilliant words.

Sydney's word of the week: "Uh-oh!" She likes saying it. I think sometimes she drops things intentionally just so she can practice the phrase a few more times.

Since this is Valentine's day weekend, Sydney wanted to send a shout out to her friends and family that are in her heart this Valentine's Day. She also wanted to send a special wink to Landon and Logan, the only two men in her life...at least that are her age!

And Karen and I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Sydney's Grandma Gloria. Grandma watched Sydney all Saturday night so that her Mom and Dad could escape for a nice night out. We very much appreciated it, and we hope you and Sydney had a great time!

And to Karen, I just wanted to say I love you. You are the best mom and wife any perfect, funny, handsome husband could ask for!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!!
