The Big 5!!!

It was a cold and snowy day.  Surely it was not a day that would be forgotten due to the blustery storm itself, but there were also memorable events that were fated to occur on that particular day.  That day, of course, was five years ago...and on December 15, 2008, Sydney was born!!!  Time has a way of turning tricks on you, because POOF!!!...it's five years later and we're celebrating Sydney's fifth birthday!

There are so many great moments from the first five years.  We were fortunate to have captured many of them in high-definition, on smart phones, or in still pictures that offered more than 10 megapixels.  From the moment she was born, we knew she'd be a cute (okay, really I mean adorable), smart, funny, and certainly high-maintenance little princess.
In her first five years, she's accomplished so much.  She's made a trip to Australia, followed by several trips to Florida, California,Montana, and even Oregon.  She has honestly accrued more miles in the air by the age of two than I had in my first twenty-five years!  But she's a great little traveler, and she loves the destinations she ends up going to (especially the Disney ones).  She's full of life, and loves to experience new things.

In terms of her actual 5th birthday party, it was spent at the Perch N' Play.  Sydney and all of her friends spent quite a bit of time running and playing before any of the birthday celebrations began.  There was pizza, cupcakes, presents, singing, and all of the usual great things that make birthdays fun.  And thanks to everyone who made it to the event and helped to celebrate the occasion.  She had a great time and appreciated everything!!!

I do have to give a little shout out to her lil' bro Corwin.  The poor little guy was exhausted and missed his afternoon nap, but he powered through it all like a trooper.  Unfortunately, his little ID sticker kept falling off of the back of his overalls...so, my only solution was to place the sticker on his forehead.  Believe it or not, the sticker remained there for a good portion of the event.  I don't know why he didn't decide to remove it, but at the very least it was good at letting other know who he was, who his parents are, and what his phone number is :)
Well, birthdays seem to come too soon when they are little, but we are certainly proud of our little Sydney.  She is growing into such a young little lady!

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY SYDNEY!!!
WE LOVE YOU!!!
