Up & Around During the Holidays

Corwin has gotten much more proficient at walking.  Each new step has given him more confidence.  Over the holiday break, Corwin really started excelling at walking and decided he liked it much better than the more archaic form of crawling.  His initial challenge, upon falling over, was to reach a couch, chair, table, or other object to assist him back up.  Well, all that changed on Christmas Day at my Grandma's house.  We were sitting in the living room when he just decided, on his own, to stand up.  After he did it once he repeated it several more times that day.  Of course, his balance on a few of these first attempts was not elegant, they did the job.  But within the next few days, he would pop up anytime he wanted and motor off to his next destination.

Other than Corwin's new skill, the holidays also kept us busy.  Nana from Montana joined us, and we had a great time.  There was a bout of flu that ravaged the house a bit, but the holidays are all about sharing (I guess that goes for being sick, too).

In other news, Corwin got his first hair cut.  It was a brief visit with the stylist to make Corwin transform from cute to adorable.  Of course, we joked around about how much older it made him look.  He did transform from "Corwin the Toddler" to "Corwin the Man."  Getting rid of some of the curly little locks definitely made him look different, and I'm certain it has made him more aerodynamic which will only benefit him and his new walking abilities.

It's was a fun and busy 2013, but we are really looking forward to all of the new adventures 2014 will bring!!!
Happy New Year!!!
